He is the Regional Director of the Africa and Middle East & North Africa Branch of the International Union against STIs (IUSTI Africa-MENA). He is a member of the WHO SRH/HRP Scientific and Technical Advisory Group and a member of the ReAct Toolbox International Advisory Group on antimicrobial resistance. He is a member of Antimicrobial Resistance Programme Advisory Committee of the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health and Child Care. Cleophas ChimbetetePresident, Zimbabwe College of Public Health Physicians Dr Cleophas Chimbetete (PHD) is the President of the Zimbabwe College of Public Health Physicians and heads the Research & Training unit of Newlands Clinic in Harare. He has co-authored over 50 publications in peer reviewed journals Frances CowanExecutive Director, Centre for Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS Research (CeSHHAR) Zimbabwe Frances Cowan is a clinical epidemiologist and Professor of Global Health at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. She is based in Zimbabwe where she is the Executive Director of the Centre for Sexual Health and HIV AIDS Research (CeSHHAR) Zimbabwe, leading a portfolio of HIV prevention research, which includes large scale impact evaluations of national HIV programmes. Ingrid LandmanCollege of Primary Care Physicians of Zimbabwe Dr Ingrid Landman is a primary care doctor currently working in Womens Health and HIV. She co-founded the Well Woman Clinic in Harare in 1997 where she still works as lead clinician. She was also a founder member of the Zimbabwe HIV Clinicians Society in 1996 & is currently on the executive committee. She is the current education officer for the College of Primary Care Physicians and co-chair of the Zimbabwe COVID Frontline Clinicians. She has a particular interest in sexual & reproductive health, prevention and diagnosis of cervical cancer and early treatment of infectious diseases that significantly impact populations such as HIV & COVID. Apart from clinical medicine her focus is on continuing medical education and professional development of primary care doctors. Sara LoweIUSTI/Newlands Clinic, Zimbabwe Dr Sara Lowe is a Specialist Physician trained in the U.K in Genitourinary Medicine. She has been working in the field of HIV and STI medicine since 2007 and relocated to Zimbabwe in 2014. Currently she is working as a lecturer in the Department of Medicine at the University of Zimbabwe and as the Deputy Medical Director at Newlands clinic in Harare. Fortunate MachinguraResearch Director – Key Populations, Centre for Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS Research (CeSHHAR) Zimbabwe Dr Fortunate Machingura heads research on Key Populations at the Centre for Sexual Health and HIV AIDS Research (CeSHHAR Zimbabwe). She is a member of the WHO 2022 technical working group on routine HIV surveillance and is co-Principal Investigator in the global consortium on Measurement and Surveillance of HIV Epidemics. She is an Honorary Research Fellow in the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine’s International Public Health and the University of Zimbabwe’s Biomedical Informatics and Bio-Engineering Department. Evaristo MarowaDirector, Skin & GU Medicine Clinic Dr Evaristo Marowa has over three and half decades of work experience in the fields of STIs, HIV & AIDS and Dermatology. He has worked as a clinician and manager in STI and HIV & AIDS programmes He has contributed to publication of some STI research in some international journals in the 1980s 80s when he was involved in the running of the Genito-Urinary Medicine Clinic in the Harare City Health Department. He has has work experience at both national and international level where he was UNAIDS Country Coordinator for nine years in Tanzania, Bangladesh and Botswana. Currently he is co-director and consultant dermato-venereologist at the Skin and Genito-Urinary Medicine Clinic in Harare. Bismark MatevekeSecretary-General, Zimbabwe Medical Association Dr Bismark Mateveke MBChB, MMED, FCOG ECSA -Specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist at Sally Mugabe Hospital, Harare. He is the deputy head for the Obs & Gynae unit. He is the current national Secretary General for the Zimbabwe Medical association (ZIMA). He has a clinical bias towards sexual & reproductive health, reproductive medicine and assisted reproduction as well as gynaecologic endoscopic surgery. Brian NachipoCommunications Officer, AIDS & TB Programme, Ministry of Health & Child Care, Zimbabwe Brian Nachipo is a public health communications specialist with a wealth of experience working in the field of adolescent sexual and reproductive health, HIV and AIDS. Brian currently serves as the National Advocacy and Communications Officer in the AIDS and TB Unit of the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Zimbabwe. Simangaliso NdlovuSkin & GU Medicine Clinic Simangaliso Ndlovu works as the Administrator at the Skin & GU Medicine Clinic in Harare. She is a volunteer for the Secretariat Office for the IUSTI World Congress 2022. Margaret PascoeMedical Director Newlands Clinic, Harare Dr Margaret Pascoe is a public health clinician. She has been working in the public health sector in Zimbabwe for over 30 years, her focus is infectious diseases including sexually transmitted infections and HIV. She is the current medical director of the Newlands Clinic, an HIV care and treatment centre, and the president of the Zimbabwe HIV Clinicians Society. Tarisai RabanaSkin & GU Medicine Clinic Tarisai P. Rabana is a nurse at the Skin & GU Medicine Clinic, Harare. She is a volunteer for the Secretariat Office of the IUSTI World Congress 2022 in Victoria Falls.
